In ancient time one of the greatest civilization – The thracians, were settled the lands of Bulgaria. The recently discovered Thracian cult center in Starosel (near Plovdiv) is the biggest in Southern and Eastern Europe with the largest temple mausoleum. It is most probably the tomb of King Sitalk /431 – 424 BC/ . In addition to the burial this sanctuary was also location of common wine rituals related to the Thracian cult and beliefs.

Today like a phoenix from the ashes of the centuries from 12 of March 2005 year exist Wine complex Starosel ,it is situated at the foot of the Sredna Gora Mountain, just 3 000 km away from Black Sea and 3 000 km away from White Sea . The region in which the complex is situated is known with the extremely favourable soil and climate conditions for cultivating vineyards.
