The Old House is a recently renovated Bulgarian Farmhouse built over one hundred years ago, in a quiet hamlet approximately 4 miles from Tryavna, in the unspoilt mountains of Central Bulgaria.

The Old House is now a comfortable holiday home for up to five guests. The house is set on two floors with a kitchen/dining room and bathroom on the ground floor and three bedrooms and a living room on the first floor.
The house is on two floors. The ground floor which used to be a storage area for grain, farm implements and animals has been converted into a kitchen/dining room and a bathroom.
The kitchen has a built-in oven and both electric and gas hobs. The kitchen is well equipped with a bread maker(if you find it difficult to sleep on holiday why not get up with the dawn, load the bread maker and watch the sun rise over the mountains - or perhaps get your partner to do it......) slow cooker, for you to throw the ingredients in before you go out to climb the mountains, when you come home ......cordon bleu meal ready and waiting, toaster, just in case there is any bread left from yesterday and English kettle for you to try to make a cup of tea that tastes the same as at home - well you cant have everything. There is a fridge and a very large chest freezer for the ice cubes you will need to make that perfect gin and tonic. There is even an iron and ironing board to iron your swimsuit.
The bathroom has a bath with hand shower, basin and wc.
The upper floor has a large veranda, called a chardac. All the upstairs rooms are off the open veranda. There is a living room with original wood panelling, comfortable sofa, fireplace, satellite TV. Video and DVD player with an eclectic mix of videos and DVD's a playstation with a number of games.
Off the living room is a bedroom with a kingsize bed, the room has a jamal, the original central heating of the house. The room has stunning views to the mountains. I have put a large comfy wicker chair in the bedroom for you to sit and admire the view. The bedrooms have been decorated and furnished to create a home from home, not a holiday home, with vintage quilts, painted furniture, needlepoint rugs, lots of coat hangers in the wardrobe (even padded ones) and stylish soft furnishings to add the finishing touch.
The other two bedrooms are off the chardac, one has a double bed with views to the mountains and the garden, the other has a single bed with an en suite shower/wc, with view to the garden.

All the bedrooms are quite spacious with wardrobes and hanging space. The single en suite has a small day bed where you can curl up and read your book and a bureau for you to sit and write your holiday diary!!! or perhaps you could rent the house for six months and write that best seller.
